The errors are serious enough to cause customers to experience denied credit applications.
How to Fix Your Credit Report
The first action you need to take is to order a copy of your credit report. As soon as you get it, it is critical to examine it carefully and look for possible inaccuracies. In case you find errors in your credit reports, you must first look for documents that can support your claim that the information is indeed inaccurate.
Next, inform the company that supplied the erroneous information, regarding the error, but remember to put it in writing. Also, do not forget to include those documents supporting the inaccuracies but remember not to include any originals.
In case you have been denied of an application due to the errors on your credit report, you can also send a letter, with supporting documents, to the creditor. However, do not forget to state the reasons for the inaccuracies and to send another letter to the crediting bureau.
You can expect to receive a letter from those companies you sent the letters to within 30 days prior to sending the letters. On the other hand, if you do not receive any letter from them, there is a possibility that the information you claim as inaccurate are not actually erroneous, thus you must examine those information one more time.
